Joan Walton and a few other Thetas founded our alumnae "club" in 1970.
They named it the El Camino Real Club after the historic road connecting the Missions that runs from the San Juan Mission to missions north and south.

Our first officers include some Thetas still in our chapter!

Our first address booklet had lots of proposed events-- and many changes as the year went on. Back then, everything we did was in the local newspaper! The photo below with the kite was from Founders Day in 1976 with current member Mae Hillman. Several pictures show Connie Martin; she was involved in Panhellenic back in the '70s and still is a Panhellenic officer today.
